We have used “Dynamic Warm-Ups” or dynamic stretching for years in corporate wellness and fitness training with great success. We are posting a few “entry level” mobility videos to help people get started. If you need more details, please visit the credit references at the end of each video for more information. They are ALL wonderful resources with high pay offs.
This video focuses primarily on “shoulder mobility” instead of whole body. Many of these exercises were used in our “Introduction to Kettlebell” workshops over the years. We got so much positive feedback on the “warm up drills” that we decided to put them together in a video collection with some of the new moves we learned the last year or so. Many said our warm up drills alone were just as valuable to them as the actual workshop kettlebell exercises!
Other introductory videos to be posted will be specific to Hands/Wrists, Head/Neck, etc. The version on this page is our “Teaching” edition where we voice over the directions for each 23 exercise drills featured. Once you understand how to do each exercise properly, you can use our “Music Only” Shoulder Mobility Video, but make sure to learn the key points before you leave the teaching version.
Can we ever return to the LaSierra High School level of shoulder performance? We won’t know unless we give them a chance, so keep it simple, and give these a shot.
Please don’t be intimidated with the exercises. Do your best. As you are mindful of your form–your efficiency will improve. Enjoy–healthier shoulders!!!
*If you cannot work with The Lean Berets personally, please consider the option of seeking out individualized help from our resource recommendations at the end of each video. These people are training professionally to not only help you move more–but help you move better.
