We were fascinated to learn recently that there are major health improvements already beginning to take place at schools all over America–finally! The recent USDA National School Lunch & Breakfast Programs have shifted our kids’ nutrition from fabricated “vitamin and mineral fortified” foods to actual “food based” nutrition. What is “food based” school nutrition you ask? REAL FOOD!
We immediately recruited our good friend and fellow Wellcoach/Registered Dietician Julie Schwartz to do a radio show with us on this topic. Julie has unique experience working internally with school cafeterias and nutrition plus she’s a certified ACSM Health Fitness Specialist. She has both food and fitness locked up as a lifestyle and profession.
